Here is the article I brought up in class today for anyone who wants to read it or more by the New York Times public editor, Margaret Sullivan. It’s a really interesting example of intentional transparency in the media, with Sullivan functioning as a critic and analyst of the paper by which she is employed. The reasoning behind choices in photography use, especially coming from Times editors themselves, offers us a window into their decision-making process.
